Silversea lauches it's newest ship
Silversea's new ship Silver Spirit officially got its name in Port Everglades, Florida, last week.
By all accounts, it was a very traditional if windy ceremony. Ken Watson, Silversea's Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer apparently struggled to keep hold of his notes and the gusts prevented the champagne bottle from smashing against the hull - to such an extent that it was finally smashed by hand!
Silver Spirit has now set off on its inaugural 91-day circumnavigation of South America. Let's wish her fairer weather at sea!
