Pushing the boat out - is cruising an extravagance, or value for money?
The popularity of cruising is growing rapidly. More and more people are seeing what has historically been seen as the sole privilege of the rich and famous as a cheap and affordable way to holiday.
It's also popular with those who can't fly because it offers them the chance to see foreign lands without medical or psychological trauma.
The flexibility of a cruise holiday is phenomenal - if you want to do your own thing, do your own thing. If you want to go on an organised excursion, go on one. If you want to eat haute cuisine 24 hours a day, do it (just be aware your waistline may not have the same measurement on your return!) if you want to sleep all day - nobody's going to stop you.
Pack your bags twice (departure and return), unpack them once. Let your hotel take you to far flung lands instead of you taking yourself to hotels in far flung lands. Let someone else worry about the weather and what to wear.
It couldn't be easier! Have you tried cruising yet?
